How FRESH Works
FRESH environmental is a residential site development and construction management firm — not a general contractor, and not a traditional landscape company. FRESH is the site development specialist: the professional who coordinates the architect, civil engineer, pool contractor, builder, municipality, and every other project stakeholder around the site as a single, unified scope of work. This applies whether the project is a full new-home site build or a standalone pool, hardscape, or landscape project on an existing property.
FRESH’s engagement model runs in up to three phases. Each is a separate agreement — no phase is assumed, and no work begins without one signed.
Phase 1 — Residential Site Development Management (RSDM)
The planning and design phase. Before construction begins, FRESH evaluates the site, identifies constraints and opportunities, develops the site plan and design, navigates permitting, coordinates consultants, and establishes a real development budget — so the project is priced accurately before anyone breaks ground. RSDM closes one of two ways: the client moves into Construction Management with FRESH, or exits with a formal design release and manages construction independently. FRESH also provides RSDM on projects where a separate landscape architect is already engaged — functioning as site development coordinator alongside that designer, who retains full ownership of their design work.
Phase 2 — Construction Management
Where the project gets built. FRESH isn’t a GC and isn’t an owner’s rep — FRESH is the site development specialist in the field, the one professional who understands the design intent, the site conditions, the permitting, and the subcontractor network, because FRESH was there for all of it. All field work is performed by vetted subcontractors under FRESH’s direction, tracked through a live Development Budget from startup to closeout.
Phase 3 — reFRESH
Most contractors are done at turnover. FRESH isn’t. reFRESH keeps FRESH involved after construction — managing warranty items, monitoring how the project holds up, and staying the first call when the property needs anything, from seasonal upkeep to major upgrades.
